Future of board uncertain.
Nina Jankowicz announced Wednesday that she is resigning from her position as executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board. The board was just created by the department last month by the homeland security secretary, and Ms. Jankowicz’s appointment to that board only happened a few weeks ago. Ms. Jankowicz, who is expecting a baby, said that “spending time with my family is first priority.”
“In the fall, I plan to continue the work I’ve done throughout my career building awareness of disinformation in the public sphere, working on issues related to Russia’s war in Ukraine, and continuing my work related to women’s online expression,” she said.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and his advisors as they consider policies regarding the free flow of information in the public sphere.
- For discernment for Secretary Mayorkas as he evaluates the future of the disinformation board.
- For members of Congress concerned with the protection of the freedom of speech under the First Amendment.
